- Ikechukwu Ezenwa has completed a transfer move to Heartland of Owerri from Katsina United - The goalkeeper was among the Super Eagles players who won bronze at AFCON 2019 in Egypt - Ezenwa has been playing in the Nigerian topflight for the past 10 years winning the League title with defunct Ocean Boys Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has agreed to rejoin Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Heartland of Owerri after leaving Katsina United. Last season while playing for Katsina United, the 30-year-old goalkeeper was superb before he left the side to join Super Eagles prior to the AFCON 2019. He was among the Super Eagles player who won bronze medal at the 2019 African Nations Cup held in Egypt. According to the report on Brila FM, the former Ocean Boys stopper has signed a two-year deal with the Naze Millionaires. In Ezenwa's first spell at Heartland, he was in the squad that played in the final of the 2009 CAF Champions League which they lost against TP Mazembe.
